George Vissichelli developed a passion for automotive repair while still in high school. He attended Valley Stream High School and graduated with a degree in Auto Mechanics. In 1967, while attending high school, he was part of a team of students who participated in the Chrysler Troubleshooting contest. His team came in third place overall in the state, competing against over 50 other schools.
Directly after graduation, George started working as a repair technician at the Lincoln-Mercury dealership in Rockville Centre. Over the course of the next 19 years, George worked in various Long Island dealership repair departments and became factory trained in repairs for Ford, Toyota, Lincoln-Mercury, Oldsmobile and several foreign made car manufacturers.
As George gained knowledge and experience, he moved up through several grades of repair technician and eventually became a Department Manager. He worked in that capacity for approximately 8 years, and then in 1995, he opened his own shop, Maximum Automotive, in Port Jefferson, NY.
At Maximum Automotive, all of the employees are ASE certified and continuously take part in ongoing training in order to stay current with the latest technologies and repair protocols. At Maximum Automotive, you can feel confident that the repair technicians have the proper knowledge to diagnose and repair your auto.
George Vissichelli has been a member of the local community since 1972. For several years he coached 3 Village Little League as his children were growing up, and he has played ball for several years in the Town of Brookhaven Adult Softball League.
